The Old Town Players have officially thanked the community after surpassing their fundraising goal and securing a $50,000 state matching grant through Indiana’s CreatINg Places program.
The theater raised $82,353 by the end of its capital campaign, which ended April 30. The funds will go toward repairs to the roof and ceiling, as well as improvements to the veranda and railing.
In a statement, the theater’s board called the campaign “more than a financial milestone,” saying the response shows what’s possible when the community supports a shared vision. “We are deeply humbled and grateful for your generosity,” the board said.
Old Town Players described the improvements as long overdue and said the upgrades will benefit both performers and patrons for years to come.
