The Vincennes Community School Corporation has issued a statement after a video involving a school employee began circulating online.

According to the statement, the incident took place entirely outside of the school setting and did not involve any students or occur on school property. School officials says the matter is unrelated to the employee’s professional duties, however they reported that the person has been suspended with pay while a full investigation is conducted.

“As this is a personnel matter, the VCSC will offer no further comment at this time,” the statement reads.

VCSC officials also addressed concerns about online posts and uploads related to the situation. The corporation emphasized that while it values open communication, it is aware that some individuals are posting or sharing content related to the incident on official VCSC media platforms.

The school corporation says it reserves the right to monitor and remove any content that is deemed inappropriate, unnecessary, or unrelated to the educational mission of the schools.
