
Communities across the region are celebrating Independence Day with a weekend full of parades, food, live music, and fireworks.
In Vincennes, the “Freedom and Fireworks; Light up the Night” event will take place on July 4 with a downtown parade starting at 6 p.m., food trucks at Patrick Henry Square, and fireworks at dusk.
In Lawrenceville, Illinois there are fireworks tonight, (July 3) at dusk at the high school.
Otwell’s Jefferson Township Ruritan celebration continues through Saturday, featuring food stands, a midway, a parade Friday morning, BBQ dinners, tractor pulls, and fireworks Friday night. Events wrap up Saturday with supercross races and a cornhole tournament.
Washington’s Eastside Park celebration runs through Friday with carnival rides, games, and live music each night, ending with fireworks over the lake at 10 p.m. Friday.
At West Boggs Lake in Loogootee, a July 3rd party features food trucks, bounce houses, live music, and a golf cart parade.
In Shoals, the 40th annual Catfish Festival runs through Sunday, including live music nightly, a parade Saturday morning, contests, and fireworks on Friday night.
