County Council member Dan Reitmeyer is urging motorists to be careful around road and other construction projects around Vincennes and Knox County.

At Tuesday’s Knox County Council meeting, Reitmeyer spoke about recent crashes and described the situation as “crazy” on local roads. He said there was a serious wreck Saturday morning near Kelso Creek, where his company is working, and another major crash occurred just before the council meeting on Tuesday.

Reitmeyer noted that work is ongoing at several locations and emphasized the importance of patience and caution, mentioning that damaged guardrails and protective barriers have had to be repeatedly replaced.

Reitmeyer warned that the challenging traffic conditions could continue for several more weeks as construction projects move forward.
