A Silver Alert for a missing Vincennes woman was issued Thursday afternoon and canceled later that evening.
The alert for 54-year-old Taunja Blackburn was declared just after 3 p.m. Thursday and canceled at 8 p.m. No additional information about Blackburn’s status or condition has been released.
In Indiana, Silver Alerts are issued to help locate missing adults who are elderly or have developmental or cognitive impairments and are considered at risk. The alerts function similarly to Amber Alerts but focus on vulnerable adults instead of children.
