The Pike County Prosecutor’s Office is calling the approval of funding for RISE Peer Recovery a major step forward for substance abuse reform.
On Tuesday, the Pike County Council voted unanimously to ratify an agreement with RISE and to use opioid settlement funds to support the group’s first year of operations in the county.
Officials say the decision follows months of discussion and collaboration, marking a critical investment in recovery services.
The Prosecutor’s Office says much work remains but calls the move an important step toward helping residents overcome addiction and build healthier futures.
