The Vincennes Kiwanis Club and Good Samaritan Hospital are taking nominations for the 2025 N. Philip Shelton Humanitarian Award.The award was created in 1998 after the death of Dr. Shelton, a longtime Vincennes physician. It was started to honor his commitment to service and to recognize others who make a difference in the community.

Each November, the award goes to a Knox County resident who has worked to improve the well-being and happiness of others. Nominations are due by October first.
