The annual Bandshell Bash returned to Vincennes over the weekend, showcasing a wide range of local musical talent at the historic Gregg Park Bandshell. This marked the fourth year for the event, which continues to draw large community crowds.
Parks Department Superintendent Jr. Field said the city still has plans to restore the landmark. He explained that the structure is in need of electrical upgrades and block work repairs, but he hopes improvements can be made within the next few years.
The Bandshell Bash is one of three major music festivals taking place in Vincennes this year. The Wabash Valley Palooza was held in July, and the First City Music Festival is set to begin in about 10 days.
