The Princeton Police Department has released details of a major drug arrest that happened Wednesday.

Police say Levertes Goodwin of Chicago was stopped by Indiana State Police Troopers on U.S. 41 near Hazleton for speeding. A K9 unit assisted in the stop.

Officers reported smelling raw marijuana from the vehicle. After a free-air sniff by the dog and a subsequent search, troopers found a glass jar with plant material and two large vacuum-sealed bags containing about five pounds each of crystal methamphetamine.

In total, investigators recovered approximately 10 pounds of meth, which tested presumptively positive in the field. Goodwin was booked into the Gibson County Jail on charges of Dealing Methamphetamine and Possession of Methamphetamine.
