A Daviess County man has been sentenced to 150 years in prison for murder and related charges.
A jury found Abel Dubon-Castillo guilty in August of killing Aracely Torres in Washington and attempting to kill two others. The incident occurred in February of 2024. Castillo was also convicted of attempted murder, burglary, and intimidation.
Judge Dan Murrie handed down the sentence Monday following arguments in Daviess Superior Court. Prosecutors credited the Washington Police Department, Indiana State Police, and Knox County High Tech Crime Unit for what they called a large-scale investigation supported by eyewitness testimony.
