Minor injuries were reported in an accident involving a North Knox school bus Monday afternoon.
The Knox County Chief Deputy John Fuller says the crash happened around 3:25 p.m. at the intersection of U.S. 41 and Jones Gap Road. A school bus traveling west on Pierce Road attempted to cross U.S. 41 and pulled into the path of a southbound Jeep Wrangler. The Jeep struck the bus on the right side, and both vehicles came to rest on opposite sides of Jones Gap Road.
The Jeep’s driver and passenger were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The bus was carrying 29 children and the driver. Only one student complained of pain following the collision.
