Families gathered at Gregg Park in Vincennes on Saturday for the Touch a Truck Festival. Hosted by Andrew Hinz State Farm, the event gave kids the chance to explore emergency vehicles as well as large trucks from area businesses and industry.
The festival ran from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and featured music, snacks, and drinks — all free to the public.
Organizers said the day was about building community connections, with plans to continue the event in the future.
“We’ve done it nine years, and we plan to keep it going. This is our big event from the office. We do several other things, but this is the one we really focus on putting together,” Hinz said.
The festival also included a sensory-friendly hour, giving children sensitive to crowds or noise the opportunity to enjoy the activities in a calmer setting.
