Good Samaritan has received national recognition for making the medical billing process easier and more accurate for patients.
The hospital earned the Peak Performance Award from Waystar, a health care payment software company. The honor was announced at a national conference of more than 500 industry leaders.
Hospital officials say the recognition means fewer billing surprises, faster insurance approvals, and less paperwork for patients. Good Samaritan’s Patient Accounts team reports that more than 99 percent of claims are processed correctly the first time, with denial rates well below national averages.
Director of Revenue Cycle and Patient Accounts Judy Jerrell says the award reflects the hard work of staff to reduce errors and improve service, allowing patients to focus on their health instead of insurance issues.
