The City of Vincennes says CSX is scheduled to begin a series of railroad crossing closures starting today.

CSX plans to close the crossings at 10th Street, 11th and Scott, and Hart Street. That work is expected to take about four days.

Then, beginning October 20, the crossings at Busseron Street and 13th Street will close for an unknown length of time. City officials believe this work is part of a project to replace smaller sections of rail at the crossings.

The city notes this is not a local project, but information will be updated on the Vincennes City App as it is received.
