Four Vincennes residents are facing multiple felony charges after a traffic stop early Thursday morning led to the discovery of heroin, meth, and drug paraphernalia.

According to Indiana State Police, Trooper T. Hurley stopped a 2013 Dodge Dart around 12:43 a.m. on 15th Street near Main Street in Vincennes for driving down the middle of the road. The driver, 30-year-old Mariah Lewis, was found to have an active warrant for child neglect.

Also in the car were 29-year-old Bryce Cummings, 33-year-old Kandace Hawkins, and 26-year-old Sarah Liddle—all from Vincennes. A Knox County Sheriff’s K-9 alerted to narcotics in the vehicle, leading to the discovery of more than 20 grams of suspected heroin, over 240 syringes, 50 glass smoking pipes, a small amount of meth, and $1,200 in cash.

All four were arrested and booked into the Knox County Jail on charges of dealing heroin over 12 grams, possession of a narcotic, possession of meth, possession of a syringe, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

The investigation is ongoing.
