Autism Advocate, Author Coming to VU

Vincennes PBS is inviting the public to an upcoming program designed to deepen understanding of autism.

Internationally recognized autism advocate and educator Dr. Stephen Shore will lead a presentation titled “An Inside View to Autism: A Sensory, Experiential Session” on Thursday, November 6th at 6:30 p.m. Eastern at the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center on the Vincennes University campus.

Dr. Shore is a professor of special education at Adelphi University, is known for his work in inclusive teaching and serves as an advisor for the PBS Kids show “Carl the Collector.” His talk will provide an interactive, first-hand perspective designed for educators, families, and community members who want to better understand sensory experiences and neurodiversity.

Tickets are ten dollars, but admission is free for Vincennes University students, faculty, and staff. Information and ticket links are available through Vincennes PBS.
