As we get into November the National Weather Service has released their summary of October Weather.
The 10th month of 2025 brought big swings in both temperatures and rainfall across the state. According to the National Weather Service, temperatures ran 2 to 4 degrees above normal, with multiple days in the 80s early in the month. A cooler pattern took over in the back half, with highs mostly in the 50s and 60s and a few frosty mornings by the end.
Rainfall was a major story. While central Indiana stayed fairly dry—Indianapolis logged under 2 inches for the month—southern counties closer to the Kentucky border saw much wetter conditions.
Despite the wet finish in southern Indiana, much of the I-70 corridor stayed dry, continuing a below-normal trend for the fourth straight October.
