There were no injuries in a fire in Oaktown Monday afternoon.

Firefighters were called out after smoke and flames were seen coming from a home on Franklin Street around 4:30 p.m.

Busseron and Washington Township Fire Departments responded.

Emergency personnel were on scene for several hours.

Reports are that the home was occupied by Gary Goodwin.

Again there were no injuries and there’s not word on a possible cause
