The Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation’s Denim and Diamonds Gala was a success on Saturday.
The event marked the return of the foundation’s largest annual fundraiser.
The evening featured a presentation of the inaugural Good Samaritan Leadership Awards to the board president Helen Sierp and long-time director of nursing Pat Summers.
Highlighting the event was the announcement of the Rob and Angie McLin endowed scholarship. The scholarship was created with two purposes in mind. One to honor McLin’s years of service to Good Samaritan and two, to create a legacy fund that helps to invest in the next generation of healthcare.
Also recognized was Tony and Natalie Burkhart who pledged $25,000 toward the scholarship.
