The Shop Knox County eGift Card program is returning for the holidays, and so is the popular buy-one, get-one deal. The Chamber of Commerce and its local partners will launch the promotion Thursday at noon.

The program has already driven close to 550-thousand dollars in local spending since it started, and the Chamber hopes the added holiday boost will keep more dollars in Knox County. This year’s cards come with a few updates, including tap-to-pay and the option to store them in Apple Wallet through the Yiftee app.

There are new limits to keep things fair. Shoppers can buy one card at a time, and the maximum value has increased to 150 dollars. Chamber President Jamie Neal says the effort shows what happens when the community supports its own. Cards can be purchased on the Chamber’s website and delivered instantly by text or email.

The program is supported by the City of Vincennes, Knox County government, Knox County Indiana Economic Development, the Knox County Community Foundation, and the Downtown Vincennes Association.
