Jasper Police say two people are facing felony theft charges following an investigation into an organized retail theft case.
Police say the arrests were made on December 12th in connection with theft incidents on December 10th, 11th and 12th.
Investigators say 22-year-old Rajean Sanders and 26-year-old Kyle Noftle were taken into custody. During the arrest, officers say they found about four-thousand dollars’ worth of stolen merchandise inside the suspects’ vehicle.
Police later served a search warrant at a local hotel room where the two were staying. Investigators say they recovered an additional fifteen-thousand dollars in stolen goods, most of it power tools.
Authorities say the items were stolen from multiple Home Depot stores in several states and the value is estimated at around $20,000 total.
Both suspects were lodged in the Dubois County Security Center and released on bond. They are charged with organized retail theft.
They both appeared for initial hearings this week and Sanders has a pre-trial conference set for January 15th while Noftle‘s conference is January 14th.
