Jasper Police say additional charges have been filed against a Jasper man following a vehicle pursuit and a later incident at the hospital.

Police say officers were called Friday afternoon to a reported physical altercation at a home on West Andrew Lane. Investigators say 26-year-old Adam Anders the Second left the scene before officers arrived and was later located in a silver Chevrolet Impala.

Police say Anders fled when officers attempted to make contact, leading them on a pursuit through several city and county roads before stopping near a cemetery on West Shiloh Road. Officers say he was taken into custody after a brief standoff and transported for medical treatment.

Police say that after Anders was discharged from the hospital Sunday morning, he physically resisted officers as they attempted to take him into custody on the earlier charges. He was then lodged in the Dubois County Security Center.

He now faces charges including resisting law enforcement with a vehicle, domestic battery, and an additional count of resisting law enforcement.
