Gibson County deputies arrested an 18-year-old driver early Saturday morning after a traffic stop near a construction zone on U.S. 41.
Deputies were assisting a stranded motorist around 3:30 a.m. near County Road 100 West when traffic was being stopped at the construction area. Authorities say a white pickup truck drove past a fully marked patrol vehicle with emergency lights activated.
A deputy stopped the truck and reported signs of impairment from the driver, identified as Gabriel Rogers of Elwood.
After a roadside investigation, Rogers was taken into custody and booked into the Gibson County Detention Center.
He faces charges including operating while intoxicated with endangerment, possession of a Schedule Two substance, and minor in possession of alcohol.
