A Vincennes University graduate is retiring after more than two decades with the Indiana State Police.

Master Trooper Tim Weisenberger is ending a 26-year career with the department. The French Lick native earned an associate’s degree at Vincennes University before graduating from the 58th Indiana State Police Recruit Academy in December of 19-99.

He was first assigned to the Versailles Post, where he patrolled in Dearborn County, and later transferred to the Jasper District in 20-01.

During his career, Weisenberger served as a field training officer and worked as a counselor for two ISP recruit academies. He was also a member of the Tactical Intervention Platoon and a driver in the department’s high-performance vehicle unit. State Police say he logged more than 900-thousand safe driving miles.
