The Knox County Public Library has received a $5,000 grant from the Duke Energy Foundation.
Library officials say the funding will be used for new signage and wayfinding for the library’s Pocket Park and the surrounding campus.
The project is being developed in partnership with the IU Center for Rural Engagement. According to the library, the Pocket Park is planned as a space for community gatherings, literacy activities, and local history features.
At the grant presentation were Library Director Emily Bunyan, grant writer Jamie Dugan, and Duke Energy representative Kurt Phegley.
