Another reminder to “turn around and don’t drown.”

Two people were rescued Tuesday after driving into floodwater in Pike County.

Indiana Conservation Officers say a call came in around 12:25 p.m. reporting a vehicle stuck on River Road near Dodge City, with water reaching the door handles.

Officials say both individuals were able to climb on top of the truck.

A drone was used to locate them, and officers reached the vehicle by boat.

Both were taken to safety, treated at the scene, and released.

The DNR says drivers should never attempt to travel through flooded roadways.

First responders from Knox and Daviess Counties responded to similar incidents earlier this month.
