Old Town Players is preparing for an upcoming open house and is asking the community to get involved this weekend.
The group will host a spring clean-up event this Saturday, April 25, beginning at 10 a.m. at its theater on Broadway Street.
Organizers say volunteers will help clean, organize, and prepare the space ahead of the open house scheduled for May 16.
Participants can stay as long as they are able, whether for a short time or the full day. Those who help will receive a complimentary ticket to a performance during the 2026–2027 season. The event can also count toward community service hours for students.
In addition to the clean-up, Old Town Players is also seeking artwork donations for an upcoming art auction.
Organizers say artists, collectors, and community members are invited to contribute pieces including paintings, sculptures, or photography. Proceeds from the auction will be used for facility improvements at the theater.
Donations will be accepted through May 15. Anyone interested in volunteering or contributing artwork can contact Old Town Players for more information.
