Duke Energy has awarded a $10,000 grant to PACE Community Action Agency to support programs assisting low-income and elderly clients.
The funding will help strengthen services focused on basic needs such as food security, clothing, and transportation assistance. Agency leaders say these resources play a key role in helping individuals maintain employment and move toward long-term self-sufficiency.
PACE Community Action Agency officials noted that addressing food insecurity and work-related barriers remains a priority in supporting families across the region.
