A Vincennes man was arrested Monday night after a traffic stop led to the discovery of drugs and paraphernalia.

Around 6:28 p.m. on May 19, 2025, a Knox County Sheriff’s deputy pulled over a 2004 white Chevy truck with expired plates near State Road 67 and Bruce Road. The deputy reported seeing several signs that the driver, 41-year-old Adam Decoursey, was or had been using illegal drugs.

Following an investigation and a search of the vehicle, deputies found a substance that tested positive for cocaine along with multiple items of drug paraphernalia. The cocaine weighed nearly 20 grams, elevating the charge to a Level 4 felony.

Decoursey was taken to the Knox County Jail and booked for possession of cocaine and possession of paraphernalia. He later posted bond and was released with a court date scheduled.
