
The Knox County Community Foundation has awarded more than 42 thousand dollars in scholarships to local students.
Eighteen students across Knox County received funding through the foundation’s Community Scholarship Program, supported by donor-established funds.
The scholarships were recognized during a breakfast event at the Pantheon, where recipients, families, and donors gathered.
Community Impact Director Laura Hazelman says a committee of board members and community volunteers reviewed applications before selecting recipients calling it a challenging task with a community full of outstanding young people.
The recipients were:

Lester M. Baughman Scholarship – Kayleigh McKinney
McKinley Avenue Presbyterian Church Student Scholarship – Natalee Rickard
Persis McClure Hurst Memorial Scholarship – Leslie Kaetzel
Robert W. Nordhorn Memorial Scholarship – Adelynn Lange
Roger Montgomery, M.D. Memorial Scholarship – Hayden Limbach
