The Vincennes Police Department is accepting applications for patrol officers.

The department lists a 2026 starting salary of 58-thousand dollars, increasing to 62-thousand after one year and 66-thousand after two years.

Benefits include an Indiana PERF pension, health, dental and vision insurance, life insurance, paid vacation, and a clothing allowance. Take-home vehicles are listed for officers living in Knox County.

Applicants must be at least 21 years old and cannot exceed the state pension system’s hiring age limit of 40 at the time of appointment.

An agility test is scheduled for June 27th at 9:30 a.m. at the YMCA on College Avenue in Vincennes.
