Washington Police made multiple arrests in two unrelated investigations that unfolded late Monday night and into early Tuesday morning.

In one case, a Washington Police Department detective investigating a recent burglary at Stars Smoke Shop executed a search warrant at a home in the 700 block of Center Street. Officers seized multiple items during the search. As a result, 39-year-old William Burris was arrested on charges of Burglary, Theft, and Possession of Stolen Property.

Additional patrol officers, detectives, a crime scene investigator, and a detective from the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the search.

In a separate incident, Washington Police served a narcotics search warrant at a residence in the 300 block of SE 7th Street around 10:00 PM Monday. Eleven individuals were detained and arrested without incident.

During the search, officers reported finding methamphetamine, marijuana, pills, syringes, drug paraphernalia, and items linked to narcotics distribution.

The following individuals were arrested:

  • Brett Douglas, 23, charged with Visiting a Common Nuisance

  • Kayleen Fox, 28, charged with Maintaining a Common Nuisance

  • Steven Kirby, 28, charged with Maintaining a Common Nuisance

  • Shaina Luna, 35, charged with Visiting a Common Nuisance

  • Seth Osborne, 45, charged with Maintaining a Common Nuisance and Possession of Paraphernalia

  • Zackery Stephens, 26, charged with Visiting a Common Nuisance

  • Cody Simmons, 31, charged with Visiting a Common Nuisance

  • Cody Taylor, 35, charged with Dealing Methamphetamine, Maintaining a Common Nuisance, Possession of a Syringe, and Possession of Paraphernalia

  • Aarow Truelove, 22, charged with Visiting a Common Nuisance

  • Jason Walker, 42, charged with Visiting a Common Nuisance

Washington Police detectives were assisted by members of the department’s Emergency Response Team, DEA Task Force, Daviess County Sheriff’s Office, and Indiana State Police.
