Rain was part of the picture Saturday morning, but it did not stop participation in the fifth annual Vincennes Historical Half Marathon, where about 450 runners took part across the scheduled race events.

The event, organized by Uplift Knox County, also relied on 125 volunteers and support from more than 20 sponsors, according to organizers.

Funds generated from the race are directed toward community projects and nonprofit organizations in Knox County.

Following the event, runners, volunteers, sponsors, and others involved posted messages on social media, sharing appreciation for the experience and the outcome of the race.

The course takes participants through historic areas of Vincennes while supporting Uplift Knox County’s efforts to connect the community through service work, shared events, and local giving focused on strengthening ties and supporting long-term community development.
