Downtown Vincennes will celebrate summer and America’s 250th anniversary with a special edition of Summer on Main on Friday, June 26.
The family-friendly event will feature live entertainment, food, activities, and patriotic-themed fun throughout Main Street and Patrick Henry Square.
Organizers say the evening is designed to bring the community together for an all-American celebration with activities for all ages. Guests can enjoy a kids zone, a variety of food trucks, and live music from Buck Rogers Clark. A designated 21-and-over area will also offer seasonal summer drinks.
Additional festivities at Patrick Henry Square, hosted in partnership with Visit Vincennes/Knox County, will include patriotic activities, a sing-along featuring music from the hit musical Hamilton, and an American Revolution-themed costume contest. Organizers encourage attendees to dress in period-inspired attire, including powdered wigs.
Community members are encouraged to come early, stay late, and enjoy an evening celebrating summer and American history in downtown Vincennes.
