A Bicknell man was arrested early Wednesday morning after allegedly violating a protective order and attempting to enter a woman’s home.
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office says dispatchers received an SOS text around 5:40 a.m. on May 21 from a resident reporting that a man was at her home trying to get inside. Deputies responded and found the man at the back door of the residence around 5:50 a.m.
The man initially gave officers a false name but was later identified as James Summers. Authorities say Summers was violating a protective order by being at the residence. Further investigation revealed he also had an active Knox County warrant for felony domestic battery and a felony warrant from Illinois.
Summers was arrested and taken to the Knox County Jail. He faces charges of invasion of privacy and false informing. He remains in custody awaiting a court appearance.
