For the 2nd consecutive holiday season, the Knox County Chamber of Commerce is launching a Buy one Get One gift card program.

Over 70 businesses are involved in the endeavor where people can visit knoxcountychamber.com starting at 7-am on Friday and follow a link where gift cards are available for purchase.

It’s a way to shop local and keep and put dollars into the local economy.

There is a limit of two debit or e-gift type cards per person with prices being  $100, $50 or $20.

Those dollars will be matched giving buyers twice as much as they paid.

Chamber President Jamie Neal has been making the rounds to local government in recent weeks soliciting more support for the program and has raised $95,000.

She recently spoke to the Knox County Commissioners reminding them of the success of last year’s program.

Last year all of the cards sold out in 8 hours.
