Odon Christian Church has paid off medical debt for families in Knox, Daviess, Greene, Dubois, Martin, Lawrence and Orange Counties in Southwest Indiana.

Micah Stephen is Lead Minister at the church and describes the action as an awesome opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those families.

Nearly 3,000 families will be receiving an envelope branded “RIP Medical Debt” with a note that talks about Odon Christian Church paying the over $4 million in bills.

RIP Medical is a non profit which has cleared medical debts of over ten million dollars for over seven million people since it’s inception in 2014.

They acquire massive medical debt from collectors, for pennies on the dollar purchasing only those debts that are most burdensome on struggling Americans, who are often two times or below the federal poverty level.
