Good Samaritan”s Breast Care Center has gotten an over $10,000 boost.
The Indiana Breast Cancer Awareness Trust has awarded the center a total of $10,168.90 which comes from the revenue generated by the Breast Cancer Awareness special group recognition license plate.
The plate has been available since 2002 and since then $7 million has been distributed to organizations throughout Indiana for innovated projects concerning breast cancer awareness and care.
Good Sam will use the $10,000 to pay for screening mammograms, diagnostic exams, ultrasounds, breast MRIs and breast biopsies for uninsured and under insured patients.
