Two area airports have been granted millions for new terminals

The Crawford County Airport RSV in Robinson, Illinois  is getting $3.8 million as part of the federal Airport Terminal Program.

The monies will pay for a new 6,300 square foot terminal that is ADA compliant and climate change resilient.

The Illinois Department of Transportation says the funding is a much needed win for the airport which suffered severe damage in the March 31st 2023 tornado.

The Huntingburg Regional Airport in Dubois County, Indiana is getting $3.3 million from the program to pay for the construction of a new General Aviation Terminal building which will replace block structure that is over 60 years old.

The funds are part of the Federal Aviation Administration’s  $970 million in awards from President Biden’s Bipartisan Investing in America agenda.

The grants are benefitting 114 airports across the country, spanning 44 states and three territories.
