A man has been indicted in connection with the murder of Lowell Badger.

Badger was an 85 year old retired farmer found shot to death in his home in Sullivan County on December 8th 2012.

Every December since then, Indiana State Police have put out photos of items related to the crime that were taken during the murder and  asking the public for tips to help them find the shooter.

After looking into hundreds of tips and conducting over 300 interviews a grand jury was seated on April 17th and on Wednesday indicted William Ray Grimes for Murder, Burglary and Conspiracy to Commit Burglary.

He’s already serving a sentence of 40 years for an unrelated crime.

Prosecutors continue to ask for more information in the Badger case saying the indictment is only the beginning of the criminal process.
