A Washington man is facing multiple felony charges after his arrest for distributing and possessing child pornography.

Indiana State Police say 42-year-old Chad Cooper was taken into custody Wednesday after investigators executed a search warrant at his home. The investigation began in March and was led by detectives through the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force.

Police say forensic examiners and Daviess County deputies helped seize digital devices that contained evidence of child pornography involving victims under age 12.

Cooper is charged with three counts of distribution and two counts of possession of child pornography and was being held in the Daviess County Jail.
