A local nonprofit supporting women and families has received a financial boost. The Duke Energy Foundation awarded a $3,000 grant to Heart to Heart, Inc.—a Women’s Resource Center that provides free and confidential ultrasounds, pregnancy tests, parenting classes, and emergency assistance.

Duke says the donation will support Heart to Heart’s mission of sharing accurate, evidence-based information on pregnancy and fetal development in a caring environment.

Heart to Heart’s Executive Director Paige Williams recently accepted the check from Duke Energy’s Kurt Phegley.
