The Vincennes Animal Shelter is thanking a donor for a significant contribution to the facility.

Dr. Renee Bartlett visited the shelter to present a $40,000 donation in support of its operations and the animals it serves. Staff say Dr. Bartlett has been one of their longest-running supporters—helping with events, donating supplies, covering medical treatments for dogs, and offering a hand whenever it’s needed.

They call her a dear friend to both the two-legged and four-legged members of the shelter.

The shelter is holding an open house on Friday, along with an official ribbon cutting to celebrate their recent expansion. That event is set for 1 p.m.
