Life After Meth has recently moved to a new location in Vincennes after years of operating from shared spaces. The program, which now runs five recovery houses, celebrated this move as a significant step in its growth.
They are now located in Suite D at 707 Busseron Street across from the Knox County Courthouse.
Executive Director Marsha Bishop shared that the move to their own space represents a new chapter for the organization, providing more stability and sustainability for their expanding services.
The move was necessary due to increasing demand, with the program adding new staff and recovery houses. The transition, which occurred in the first week of June, also coincided with the opening of two additional recovery houses, funded by the Office of Community Rural Affairs. With this expansion, LAM can now better accommodate the growing number of individuals seeking recovery support, strengthening their mission to help people live sober, rebuild relationships, and reintegrate into the community.
The program continues to rely on local support, including donations and partnerships with local businesses, to sustain its operations. Bishop expressed gratitude for the community’s welcoming nature, which has been crucial to the program’s ongoing success.
