A Greene County man accused of killing a woman and her son is expected to change his plea later this month.
Joshua Penick, who faces two counts of murder, allegedly buried the victims’ bodies at Bear Run Mine. While it is not yet known which charges he plans to admit to, his attorney recently announced that Penick intends to plead guilty.
A hearing to formally change his plea is scheduled for Wednesday, July 23, and his sentencing is set for October 1.
Penick was charged in October of last year with the murders of Samantha Jerrell and her 14 year old son Colton.
