The Gibson County Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate a deadly Monday night crash.

Authorities were called at 7:48 p.m. Central Time to State Road 68 and Gibson County Road 250 East near Haubstadt where it was determined that a Buick Lacrosse failed to stop at a stop sign on 250 and pulled into the path of a White Freightliner Semi truck.   The semi hit the passenger car at a right angle.

Emergency personnel attempted life saving treatment on an occupant in the car but they were pronounced dead at the scene.

As part of standard procedure, the semi driver was taken to a hospital for a blood draw.

An autopsy on the accident victim is being scheduled.
