Updates on housing in Pike County will be the focus of a gathering next week in Petersburg.

The Pike County Neighborhood Development Panel will meet Tuesday, Aug. 13, at the Elmer Buchta Technology Center from 5:30 to 6 p.m., followed by a presentation from Springs Valley Bank & Trust on the homebuying process. Panelists include Premier Properties President Ruger Kerstiens, Petersburg Mayor R.C. Klipsch, and Pike County Economic Development Corporation Executive Director Ashley Willis.

According to the Southern Indiana Business Report, housing projects underway include 24 new townhouses by Premier Properties, duplexes by New Hope Services, cottage-style rentals by Ramirez Construction, and the upcoming Meadows Subdivision, which will add 102 single-family lots in phases.
