Organizers of the recent Cal Ripken World Series put on at the Vincennes Cub League fields are thanking the community for helping make the tournament a success.
The 2025 event brought in 24 teams from five countries and 15 states, traveling about 40,000 miles to compete in Vincennes earlier this month.
Organizers say positive feedback came because of strong local support. They thanked city leaders, Vincennes University, Good Samaritan Hospital, the Visitors and Tourism Bureau, and local businesses and clubs.
Special recognition went to players, coaches, batboys, team princesses, ambassador families, umpires, volunteers, and those who helped with new restrooms and parking. Fans were also credited for cheering on the athletes and supporting more than 600 games this season.
