The Bicknell Heritage Days Festival began last night with the crowning of this year’s Miss Bicknell. Iva Summers won the title. Jolie Udovich was named first runner up, Rozlynn Thorne received Miss Congeniality, and Abbi Urbain was awarded Miss Photogenic. Mini King went to Kingston Black, and Mini Queen to Hazel Stanczak.
Community honors were also handed out. Greg Risley was named Man of the Year, Mindy Clinkenbeard Woman of the Year, and Wally Cullen Parade Marshal.
The festival continues Friday night at Southside Park with music from the Alexia Caballero Group starting at six. Weekend events include a pancake breakfast, car show, baseball tournaments, a community worship service, and Monday’s Labor Day Parade at noon.
