As the Indiana General Assembly gets to work this week in the 2nd half of the General Assembly Legislative Session, the House will look at Senate bills and the Senate will look at House bills.
This year, 156 of the 521 introduced Senate bills passed out of the Senate and moved on to the House of Representatives.
In the other chamber, the House sent 178 approved bills to the Senate.
Among the top bills getting hearings is House Bill 1001 which is the state budget bill. It will have first reading by the Senate Appropriations Committee.
Meanwhile Senate Bill 1 dealing with property tax relief will be heard by the House Ways and Means Committee.
